Travel planning
Plan around a long-haul flight, possible in-country testing and recovery. Check visa requirements and whether your condition affects travel fitness. Do not book non-refundable travel before written institutional acceptance.
Medical records
NHS records may be distributed across the GP, hospital trust, imaging service and private providers. A recent clinic letter, medication list, pathology, imaging report and concise history are more useful than an unstructured record dump.
Payment and insurance
NHS care does not normally fund elective overseas regenerative treatment. Private medical insurance may exclude experimental or overseas care. Request written confirmation and itemised invoices if reimbursement is being considered.
Return-home follow-up
Before travel, identify the GP or specialist who can receive translated records and complete monitoring. The Chinese institution should provide a schedule for tests, medication and warning symptoms.
